To enhance the security, reliability, and performance of your VPS services, we are announcing two important updates that will take effect immediately.
1. New Automated Weekly Backup System for All VPS
We are excited to inform you that we are implementing an automated weekly backup system for all VPS plans. This service will be enabled by default, replacing the previous manual setup where customers were required to activate and configure their own backups.
Reason for Change: We identified that this critical feature was often overlooked, leaving some customers' data unprotected. Our new automated system ensures that every VPS has a consistent backup routine without requiring any action on your part.
Benefit to You: This change provides you with enhanced data protection and peace of mind, ensuring you can easily restore your system in case of unforeseen events.
2. End of Support for CentOS 7 Operating System
Effective immediately, we will no longer provide support or installation for the CentOS 7 operating system on new or existing VPS.
Reason for Change: This decision is based on significant hardware compatibility issues and critical security concerns. As CentOS 7 has reached its End-of-Life (EOL), it no longer receives security patches or updates, making it vulnerable to modern threats and incompatible with new hardware and software technologies.
Recommended Action: If you are currently using CentOS 7, we strongly recommend migrating to a supported operating system, such as AlmaLinux 10, Debian 13, or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Our support team is ready to assist you with this migration.
We believe these changes are essential steps in providing you with a more robust and secure hosting environment. Thank you for your continued trust in our services.
